BIOSOFT is pleased to announce the release of Version 2.0 of the CalcuSyn dose effect analyzer for single and multiple drugs. CalcuSyn is the definitive program for detection and quantification of synergistic effects of drug mixtures and it is widely used in cancer, AIDS and antibiotic research etc.

New features in Ver 2.0 enhance interaction with other software. Data input can now be made via a grid into which data can be directly imported. New wizards have been created to allow easy analysis. There are improvements in export of graphs and numeric results. All aspects of a study are now easily accessible from the new contents tree.

UnGraph version 5.0 is the latest version of the X,Y digitizer program which lets you get the X,Y coordinates from graphs, charts and drawings. You can use your scanner from within UnGraph or work with existing image files then use the increased power of Ver 5.0 tools to extract numbers.

New features in Ver 5.0 include an outstanding user interface with multi-panel screen allowing simultaneous viewing of images, numeric output and the context-sensitive Guide. Multiple lines can be digitized during a session and color-coding ensures that you know which line corresponds to which dataset. The automatic line follower has enormously increased power and can now go back as well as forward in the X-dimension so that map contours or cell walls can be digitized automatically. The line follower can now also accommodate abrupt turns, enabling e.g. step plots to be digitized. Other new features include color support so the line follower stays on a line of given color, Excel format output and Undo and Redo.

FigSys

BIOSOFT is pleased to announce the release of Version 2.4 of its definitive data analysis and presentation software, FigSys. Scientific Computer World recently described FigSys as:

"... a powerful and flexible, freestanding generator of illustrated technical documents. ...it is really a complete page-oriented report and presentation package. ... I have produced material for every kind of purpose, from a printed paper report through a reference website to instructional slide show, all without hassle and all without using any other software. ...If you are generating illustrated reports or presentations based on data modelling and visualisation, regardless of your context, then not to take a close look at what FigSys can do for you would be a serious mistake. ... FigSys' features list is extensive, and freely available on the Biosoft website. ...everything you see on that list works perfectly."

New! Version 3.0 of the QuantiScan program which converts an ordinary scanner into a densitometer equivalent to dedicated hardware costing thousands.

QuantiScan is able to analyze a wide variety of material including polyacrylamide and agarose gels, autoradiograms, TLC plates, etc. The program accepts images from any TWAIN compliant scanner as well as almost any BMP, JPG or TIF file. Analysis of lanes and blots  is highly automated, if required, but can also be controlled manually.

Also recently released is a New Version 3.1 of AssayZap, with many new features. AssayZap is a universal assay calculator for RIA, ELISA, IRMA, colorimetric or any other type of assay.

"AssayZap is a very valuable piece of software. It is a pleasure to operate it."
